Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Heinz chili sauce (12-ounce, about 1 ¼ cups)
  • 1 can jellied cranberry sauce (14-ounce)
  • 1 tablespoon packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 bags frozen cooked bite-size Italian meatballs (14 to 18-ounce bags, about ½ ounce each; do not thaw)
  • finely chopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Whisk 1 bottle of Heinz chili sauce, jellied cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce together in a slow cooker until the cranberry sauce is mostly smooth. Stir in the frozen meatballs.
  • Cover and cook until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce thickens slightly, 2 to 2.5 hours on HIGH or 3 to 4 hours on LOW. To thicken sauce, cook uncovered on HIGH for the last 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer the meatballs and sauce to a serving dish, or serve straight from the slow cooker on warm. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For stovetop version, cook in a large pot over medium-low heat for about 25 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
