Ingredients
  

Dough and Sauce

  • 1 each pizza dough Refer to homemade pizza dough recipe
  • 0.75 cups marinara sauce

Cheeses and Toppings

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese Can mix with provolone cheese
  • 15 slices pepperoni
  • 0.33 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil Chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey Refer to hot honey recipe

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 550°F or the highest temperature your oven can go.
  • Dust the pizza dough with a little flour and stretch into a 14 inch circle with a 1 inch crust slightly thicker.
  • Place the dough onto a piece of parchment paper on a pizza peel or dust a baking sheet with flour or cornmeal and place the dough directly onto the baking pan.
  • Spread marinara sauce on the pizza, leaving 1 inch around the sides for the crust.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with fresh basil and dollop teaspoons full on the pizza.
