Ingredients
  

Fish

  • 4 oz tilapia fillets

Seasoning

  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Coating

  • ½ cup all purpose flour

Cooking Fat

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Garnish

  • lemon juice for garnish
  • chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Cooking Instructions

  • Season tilapia fillets with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Place the flour onto a plate or shallow baking dish and then dredge each filet in the flour to lightly coat both sides of the fish. Shake off any excess flour from the filets.
  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the filets for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • Garnish with a squeeze of lemon juice and chopped parsley.

Notes

Pat fillets dry before dredging in flour for better coating. Ensure skillet is properly heated to achieve crispiness. Additional butter and oil may be needed when cooking in batches. Avoid overcooking to keep the fish tender. Allow tilapia to rest a few minutes before serving to retain moisture.
